Property
History
The original settlers of the Valley were the Grigor family
who arrived from Scotland in 1840. They fondly named their new
home “Elgin” from whence they came.
The property is now known as “Maleny Valley Station”
and has been home to four generations of the Grigor Family.
The lush pastures and permanent water moving through the gently
undulating topography has been at the heart of their outstanding
success in primary production.
Over the decades the property has operated three commercial
dairies and carried over 2000 head of poll Hereford beef cattle
on a range of improved pastures under irrigation.
